I didn't know I had been elevated to General Chair till I read it here, but I am honored :)<br /><br />Your idea of historian is great. I consider that to be what you have done in this blog. You have an uncanny knack for sensing the heart of arguments as you are hearing them and then writing cogently about them. I much prefer to this kind of reflected analysis to tweets (although tweets are fine too) -- there is real depth here. <br /><br />I also enjoyed the recorded talks as you did.We were lucky we had splendid presenters.
